Treasure Chamber
The Austrian archducal hat, which is the holy crown of the land, is the treasury’s highlight piece. Discover the abbey’s precious, sacral treasures from nine centuries in a historic ambience – presented in a contemporary manner.
Winter Season daily: 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Summer Season daily: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Staying true to the motto of the St. Leopold Peace Prize “Bear one another’s burdens”, the 2023 exhibition focuses on Christian charity, made tangible through the “Seven Corporal Works of Mercy” mentioned in Matthew 25.
Abbey museum
The collection and promotion of art has a long history in Klosterneuburg Abbey and is still pursued to this day. This age-old tradition can be experienced while going on a tour through the abbey. Explore the Imperial Rooms and the so-called Archducal Chambers with art pieces such as the impressive late 15th-century Babenberg Family Tree or contemporary artworks at the “Galerie der Moderne”.

Marble Hall
The Marble Hall, with its giant cupola and the spacious balcony, was intended as the central pavilion of the main facade of the Baroque imperial building. The hall was only completed in 1860. The cupola fresco, an allegory of the glories of the House of Austria, was painted by Daniel Gran in 1749.
