In the course of restoration in 2005, large parts of the cloister were adapted in order to present the mediaeval art treasures in modern style.
In the Brunnenhaus (lavatorium), the seven-branched candelabrum donated by Agnes, the emperor’s daughter and co-founder of the abbey, is displayed. The impressive bronze candelabrum was part of the original furnishing of the church and originates from the same workshop as the Bronze Gates of S. Zeno in Verona.
