After completing his studies as a construction engineer and working in this field for several years, Peter Philipp ended up in the catering industry. There he got the wine fever and he studied oenology and viticulture at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. After completing his studies, he worked for 7 years as a head of the winemaking team for a large company in the Wachau and then as a consultant oenologist for an Austrian producer of wine treatment products. Since the beginning of 2023, Peter Philipp is head of the winemaking team at the Stift Klosterneuburg wine estate.

Markus Schodl

Markus Schodl tends our orchards with dedication. He studied viticulture and oenology at the highly reputed college in Geisenheim, Germany. Markus gained extensive experience at wine producers in Australia, Italy, Germany and the Wachau before taking responsibility for the management of the vineyards and orchards of the Stift Klosterneuburg. As of mid-2012, he now concentrates on his passion for our orchards and manages a winery in the northern Weinviertel as a side job.

Heinz Hausgnost was employed in sales at Schlossweingut Graf Hardegg in Weinviertel before joining Weingut Stift Klosterneuburg in 1997 where he also worked as managing assistant and in sales.  In 2003 the Weinviertel native took over responsibility as sales director for West Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Born in Lower Austria, Manfred Strametz gained experience in various areas of gastronomy since the beginning of his professional career. After his education at the “Höheren Bundeslehranstalt für Tourismus” in Krems, worked Mr. Strametz in the hotel business for a few years before he opened his own wine bar in Vienna “Winetime”, in the year 2000 to 2016. Since December 2016 works Mr. Strametz in our wine shop “Vinothek” were he is responsible for sales, wine presentations and events. Since July 2017 Manfred Strametz assumed the management of the wine shop.
